Synopsis

Book 5 of the Hornblower series. Horatio Hornblower takes charge of the Atropos, a 22-gun sloop that will act as flagship for the funeral procession of Lord Nelson. Soon it forms part of the assault against Napoleon carrying out a daring operation to salvage buried treasure from Turkish waters.

HORNBLOWER AND THE CRISIS

Book 4 of the Hornblower series. Hornblower agrees to a dangerous mission which could turn into his greatest defeat. As Napoleon prepares to invade England he obtains confidential dispatches which are a means of luring the French fleet into battle. The story was unfinished on Forester’s death. Two short stories are also included.

HORNBLOWER AND THE HOTSPUR
