In 1813, with convoys from Canada and the Caribbean falling victim to American privateers, battle weary Admiral Sir Richard Bolitho returns to Halifax to pursue a war which neither Britain nor the United States can afford to lose.

HONOUR THIS DAY

September 1804 and Richard Bolitho sets sail for the Caribbean on his veteran ship, Hyperion, to effect a daring raid on the Spanish Main. In Antigua Bolitho rediscovers a passion which may threaten his reputation. The future of Hyperion is at risk too and it seems that this may be her final battle.

IN GALLANT COMPANY

In 1782, His Britannic Majesty's frigate Phalarope sailed to assist squadrons in the Caribbean. This should have been the perfect ship for new captain, Richard Bolitho, but he soon discovers it is a deeply unhappy ship, with deckhands driven to near mutiny.

IN THE KING'S NAME

It is January 1819 and Captain Adam Bolitho ships out from Falmouth bound for Freetown, on the old slave coast of Africa. H.M.S. Onward carries sealed orders in the strongbox below deck. But why all the secrecy and apparent urgency? All is not well, but the crew must band together and risk their lives in the name of the king..

MIDSHIPMAN BOLITHO

It’s 1772 in Portsmouth and 16-year-old Richard Bolitho waits to join the Gorgon, ordered to sail to the west coast of Africa and to destroy those who challenge the King's navy. For Bolitho, and many of the crew, it is a severe initiation into life at sea.

RELENTLESS PURSUIT

In December 1815 Adam Bolitho is ordered to sail his frigate to Sierra leone to join other ships in anti-slavery patrols. Britain's attempts to halt the flourishing trade in human life are hampered by old enemies and the threat of war.

SWORD OF HONOUR

In March 1814 Admiral Sir Richard Bolitho returns to England where news of Napoleon's defeat and abdication shocks the navy and nation. Bolitho is sent to Malta, an area where he has already seen glory and tragedy.
