Synopsis
In June 1897 Kate happily celebrates her eleventh birthday, but her joy is short lived as tragedy strikes and she has to grow up quickly. Her spirit and sense of humour help her survive the hardship of the workhouse, but will they help restore the happiness she lost as a child?
