In 1745 the Jacobite rising is in full swing. As the Highland army marches into England, Alastair Maclean, close confidant of Charles Edward Stuart sets out on a mission to raise support in the West of England. Convinced that he is on the track of a traitor, Maclean is pursued by Hanoverian agents.
