Synopsis
For the last 20 years Miss Hannah Mole has earned her living as a companion to a succession of difficult old women. Now aged 40, she is given shelter and employment by the pompous non-conformist Minister, Reverend Corder. His motherless daughters are sorely in need of care, but even the dreariest situation is turned into a success by the indomitable spirit of Miss Mole.
